“Living in Our Maritime Forest”
Premiere HD Screening & Discussion
A post-Irma view of our Amelia Island environment Featuring Dr. Munsell McPhillips and Videographer Chris Hestand
January 13, 4:00-5:30pm
Life is most interesting at the edges. On Amelia Island, we live at the interfaces between a number of systems: river and land, land and sea, marsh and forest, human and natural. This presents a dynamic and challenging context.
Dr. McPhillips is a biomedical engineer and co-founder of an engineering firm dedicated to restoring degraded urban rivers and riparian forests. She has analyzed, repaired and created ecological systems around the world. Chris Hestand is an Amelia Island videographer.
