It's Not Just Vines - Trees Can be Invasive Too

It's not always obvious which species are invasive and will out-compete our native plants. Nassau County Public Works and the University of Florida, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension Service is offering a series of classes in which you can learn about some of the invasive species that are threatening our natural ecosystem. In one of the classes they will discuss the Brazilian peppertree (Schinus terebinthifolia) which has invaded 700,000 acres in Florida alone.
